Introduction: I want to share the heart behind our new Ju-Te emblem.This simple black-and-white circle is more than a logo — it’s a daily reminder of how we walk with Jesus in a noisy, forceful world. At first glance, it looks like a yin-yang… but look closer. The classic shape is formed by two fish circling each other in perfect balance:
-The white fish carries a bold black Christian Cross in its center.
-The black fish carries the words “Ju-Te” in clean white letters.
Here’s what every line means:
The Fish – In the early church, when it was dangerous to be a Christian, believers used a simple fish (the Ichthys) as a secret sign. The Greek letters spell out “Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.” It was their quiet way of saying, “I belong to Jesus” without drawing attention. We’re bringing that same humble, ancient symbol back — hidden in plain sight.
The Cross – Right in the heart of the white fish is the cross — the very center of our faith. It reminds us that true power isn’t in fighting back. It’s in the sacrifice, love, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Everything we do flows from that cross.
“Ju-Te” (Gentle Hand) – Ju-Te means “Gentle Hand.” It’s the art of yielding, redirecting, and protecting without hatred or anger. When conflict comes — whether it’s stress, arguments, or the chaos of our AI-driven world — we don’t clench our fists. We open our hands. We breathe. We choose peace.This is exactly what Jesus taught:
“Turn the other cheek” (Matthew 5:39) isn’t weakness — it’s strength under control.
It’s staying calm when everything in you wants to react.
It’s asking in every moment: “What would Jesus do?”The two fish together show the beautiful balance:
Christ at the center (the cross) + our daily practice of gentleness (Ju-Te) = a life that reflects peace and spreads the Good News.This emblem is now the quiet symbol of everything we’re building at ju-te.org.
